Transmission are overlooked or not thought of for service. We don't
really see them because they are tucked up under the car or truck but without
them you most certainly won't be able to drive your car. Maintenance will
be the difference on how long your transmission lasts so don't forget to service
your transmission. Here are some helpful tips on keeping the transmission
serviced.
- Read the transmission section of your vehicle owners manual, if yours is
missing, our up to date computer software has the manufacturers recommended
service intervals.
- Keep your engine cool, warmer running or overheating engines can affect
the life and performance of your transmission.
- Stopped up or clogged radiators can damage or impede transmission
performance. Most manufacturers utilize the radiator to cool the
transmission fluid.
- Always check or have your fluid checked for proper level, color and smell.
- Overfilling transmission fluid can be just as damaging as under filling
one.
- "Flushing" the transmission removes all of the transmission
fluid, approximately 13 quarts, where as changing the filter removes 5
quarts. We suggest a rotation of flushing once and the next service
changing the filter.
Transmission Flush: $ 103.12 plus tax.
Transmission Filter Service is based on the type vehicle you own, call or
email for a price. We will need the Make, Model and engine size to price
it properly for you.
